Holden Colorado VS. Mountain Goat Ultimate Mountain Climbers Go Head-to-Head

  • New Holden advertising pitches Colorado against a mountain goat in light-hearted Colorado: Not to be outdone campaign
  • Colorado’s peerless climbing ability put to the test by nature’s best
  • Campaign signals fresh, humorous Colorado marketing

Even the mountain goat, famed for its unbeatable climbing skills, cannot compete with the tough and capable Colorado in Holden’s light-hearted new advertising campaign, Colorado: Not to be outdone.

In a fresh approach for Colorado, the multi-channel campaign sees a Colorado driver battle in a variety of different situations against a scheming goat, pitching brawn and capability against wily mountain knowledge.

While Colorado, with its ‘switch-on-the-fly’ 4WD, unbeaten 3,500kg towing capacity, 500Nm torque*, 1,000kg+ payload and extensive list of high-tech features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning, is undoubtedly the hero of the campaign, the goat plays a stellar supporting role.

“Colorado is a vehicle that can go anywhere and is always capable of standing up to a challenge, be that on the work-site, in the city or even against a sneaky mountain goat,” said Holden’s new Executive Director – Marketing, Kristian Aquilina.

“The new campaign – which has been in the works for a while – is a more light-hearted, jovial approach for Holden with Colorado. An approach we’re confident will better speak to our good-humored target market.

“Now is a great time to get into a Colorado, with competitive pricing backed up by a segment leading, five-year unlimited KM warranty and five years roadside assist to give customers absolute peace of mind.”

Launching on The AFL Footy Show this evening, the Colorado: Not to be outdone campaign comes on the back of Holden’s latest Colorado release, the new Colorado LSX, which boasts a range of tough additions including 18-inch black alloy wheels with all-terrain tyres, matte black extended sports bar with ‘Colorado’ branded plate inserts, and black front grille, to name a few.
